There will be comparisions and there will be comparisions, but someone like Dada is incomparable.
He's been shy of playing bouncers. The leg side is a restricted area in his array of strokeplay, running between the wickets is not for royalty! When Dada is on that patch of 22 yards, the only way to play is from the wicket to out of the boundary. The elegance has been there for all to see. Being called the God Of Off-Side by another contemporary player of equal greatness is no joke. Sir Geoff Boycott, who once commented that this lad couldn't play better than his granny, had to eat his own words and later gave him the title of 'Prince of Kolkatta'.
A prince he was, and a king he has been. One like never seen before and one the likes of which we won't see again.
The 'Comeback Man' is not gonna make a comeback again. We bid him adieu for the last time tomorrow, when he gets on to the field agains Australia.
