Watched a movie of this calibre after a long long time. Looks like 2007 & 2008 is seeing the rise of a new breed of moviemakers in the Indian film Industry. People who understand the minds of today's India & who can connect to the new generation of Indians. An awake, no-nonsense & focussed junta.
A wednesday is a take on the frustrations of the "Stupid Common Man" and how the Indian living in today's society of terror deals with the events happening around him. The movie is very fast paced and at no time would the audience lose attention. Smart, stylish & very well executed is how I would describe 'A Wednesday'. Add to this some brilliant performances by seasoned actors like Naseeruddin Shah (Our very own Morgan Freeman :-) ) & Anupam Kher and you have a perfect recipe for a blockbuster. Jimmy Shergill is brilliant as usual and fans wouldn't be disappointed with his stylish avatar as a cop. Aamir was also very good in his role as an unassuming and devoted cop and in providing some refreshing comic moments in between all the seriousness of the plot.
Giving out any more details would give away the plot so I'm not getting into that, but think about this..."How far can you endure pain before you react...and react in a very clear frame of mind, very methodically and with the full knowledge of the opponents psychology so as to not fail under any circumstance? Is this possible at all?"
